Baseball Recap: Chaminade Finds Home Field Redemption Against St. Anthony's

There's no place like home for Chaminade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Anthony's Friars 5-4 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Flyers, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Andrew Caramico looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Collin Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Fernandez, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Chaminade back to even at 8-8. As for St. Anthony's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Chaminade will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Friars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
