New Trier got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on the Deerfield Warriors with a sharp 28-6 victory. The Trevians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 22 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for New Trier and bumps their season record up to 7-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Deerfield, they now also have a losing record of 7-8.

New Trier has already played their next matchup (against Hinsdale South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Deerfield, they will head out to challenge Maine South at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
