Softball Recap: East Marion Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

East Marion and Nanih Waiya squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but East Marion had to settle for second. They lost 12-2 to the Warriors. The Eagles have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

East Marion saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrinae Aikens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

East Marion's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Nanih Waiya, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

East Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nanih Waiya, they will challenge Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
