Delta scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Eagle Ridge Christian, posting a 95-42 win at home. That looming 95-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Delta yet this season.
Meanwhile, Saxony Lutheran came up short against Gibault Catholic on Saturday and fell 44-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Saxony Lutheran has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Saxony Lutheran saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. John Hartmann, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Hartmann is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Bucheit, who scored ten points.
Saxony Lutheran struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Delta's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Saxony Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
