Baseball Recap: North Oldham Comes Up Short

North Oldham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Trinity Shamrocks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

North Oldham's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Trinity, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

When North Oldham and Trinity next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Mustangs will try to stop St. Xavier's 11-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Trinity will take on Providence and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Shamrocks 1.8, the Pioneers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
