Basketball Recap: Mojave Comes Up Short

Mojave was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Foothill Falcons 55-23. The Rattlers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 35-30.

Mojave lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jac?Amore Fahie Fahie, who posted six points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Thomas, who had six points and eight boards.

Foothill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hanna Heiselbetz led the charge by putting up 17 points. Those 17 points gave Heiselbetz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Ezugha, who earned 15 points.

Mojave's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Foothill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Mojave didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-15 win against Cheyenne on the 31st. Foothill has also already played their next game, a 46-44 victory against Basic on the 31st.
