American Falls took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Marsh Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beavers skirted past the Eagles 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Beavers have posted since April 7th.

McKenzie Mendez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Hailey Kress was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Averee Nelson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: American Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.

American Falls' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-16. As for Marsh Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

As of now, neither American Falls nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
