Soccer Game Preview: Rogue River vs. Coquille/Myrtle Point

The Rogue River Chieftains will head out to face off against the Coquille/Myrtle Point Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Rogue River will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Cascade Christian, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chieftains blew past the Challengers 4-0 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Rogue River's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Coquille/Myrtle Point was forced to settle for a draw. They and North Valley finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Rogue River's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. Coquille/Myrtle Point's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-1.

Rogue River couldn't quite get it done against Coquille/Myrtle Point when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Chieftains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
