Soccer Game Preview: Lake Worth vs. Eagle Mountain

The Lake Worth Bullfrogs will venture away from home to square off against the Eagle Mountain Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Lake Worth's win against Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lake Worth's defense stepped up to hand Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast a 1-0 shutout on Friday.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Eagle Mountain's offense. They came up short against Lake Dallas on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 722nd, while the Falcons are ranked 344th).

Eagle Mountain's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Lake Worth, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Lake Worth beat Eagle Mountain by a goal when the teams last played back in February, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Worth since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
