The Valley Vikings can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 65-36 win over Cibola. That looming 65-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Valley yet this season.
Giana Roybal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten steals. She also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayton Gomez, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Cibola, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11.
