Softball Recap: Lowndes Academy Wins Going Away Against Coosa Valley Academy

Lowndes Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on Coosa Valley Academy with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Lowndes Academy considering their one-run performance the match before.

Izzy Sullins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Sullins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Catie Wallace was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Abby Lovell was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Lowndes Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coosa Valley Academy only posted a batting average of .062.

Lowndes Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coosa Valley Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
