Basketball Recap: Empire's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Empire needed a changed in momentum after dropping ten straight games and they got it from Amanda Pacheco. The Empire Ravens secured a 26-22 W over the Hayden Lobos on Friday thanks in part to Pacheco, who posted eight points along with 13 boards and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

Empire's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Hayden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Empire won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Globe at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Empire is facing Globe at the right time seeing as Globe is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hayden, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Thomas at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
