Volleyball Recap: Compass Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kermit on Saturday, Compass Academy came back down to earth. Compass Academy fell just short of the Greenwood Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Compass Academy in their meetings with Greenwood: they've now lost four in a row.

Compass Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 15-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-6.

Compass Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Greenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Compass Academy will head out on the road to challenge Forsan at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Greenwood, they will face off against Wink at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
