Goose Creek Memorial hasn't had much luck against Atascocita recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Patriots will welcome the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Goose Creek Memorial got the win against Humble by a conclusive 11-1. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Atascocita never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Channelview. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Abigail Ruiz looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
