Football Recap: Waterloo Comes Up Short

Waterloo fell victim to Addison and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

It was another big night for Elijah Roberts, who rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 166 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes for Addison. Another player making a difference was Zayne Smith, who rushed for 102 yards and one score on only five carries.

Waterloo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Addison, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will square off against Vina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Addison, they will challenge Meek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
