Soccer Game Preview: Southside Christian vs. Christ Church Episcopal

Southside Christian hasn't had much luck against Christ Church Episcopal recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Southside Christian will venture away from home to take on Christ Church Episcopal at 7:00 p.m.

Southside Christian is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to St. Joseph's Catholic. While losing is never fun, Southside Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 161st, while St. Joseph's Catholic are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Christ Church Episcopal's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Southside. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Christ Church Episcopal.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Christ Church Episcopal, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Southside Christian came up short against Christ Church Episcopal in their previous meeting on March 13th, falling 2-0. Can Southside Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
