Basketball Game Preview: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Denver East Angels

The ThunderRidge Grizzlies will take on the Denver East Angels in a tournament on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Denver East is hoping to do what Rocky Mountain couldn't on Wednesday: put an end to ThunderRidge's winning streak, which now stands at three games. ThunderRidge enjoyed a cozy 68-52 victory over Rocky Mountain.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead ThunderRidge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kael Carney, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Paine, who put up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Denver East made easy work of Douglas County on Wednesday and carried off a 71-50 win. The Angels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Denver East's win came from a few key players ThunderRidge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was JAMES MURRAY, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. LINCOLN LEMIEUX was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

ThunderRidge's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Denver East, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
