Baseball Game Preview: Southwestern Randolph Cougars vs. Southeast Alamance Stallions

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars will take on the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Southwestern Randolph can't be too worried about heading out to take on Southeast Alamance: they just beat Southern Lee at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Cavaliers on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance got the win against Eastern Randolph on Wednesday by a conclusive 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Southeast Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Southwestern Randolph, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
