Recap: Chetopa Hornets vs. Southeast Lancers
This season hasn't been kind to the Chetopa Hornets, who are still winless after their 12th game. They took a serious blow against Southeast on Tuesday, falling 56-10. Chetopa has struggled against the Lancers recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kinzey Cassidy had a dynamite game for Southeast, scoring 16 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cassidy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Teagan Warner, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Chetopa's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11-1. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.8 points per game. As for Southeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chetopa will challenge the Blu-Jays on Friday. As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
