Baseball Recap: Enterprise Comes Up Short

Enterprise's last matchup with Pisgah could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 15-5 to the Dragons. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Enterprise saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Enterprise's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Pisgah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Enterprise and Pisgah are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bulldogs will challenge St. Patrick at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Enterprise's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Irish have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Pisgah, they will square off against Amite County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
