San Luis is a perfect 10-0 against Yuma since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. San Luis will be playing in front of their home fans against Yuma at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, San Luis came up short against Chaparral and fell 5-1. The Sidewinders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Luis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Buzani, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Yuma has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.43 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell 11-7 to Desert Sunrise. The Criminals' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Yuma also got a good showing from Josef Pastrana, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Pastrana has allowed since March 1st.

At the plate, Deven Aguirrebarrena was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Isaiah Villalobos Orozco was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

San Luis now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Yuma, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Everything went San Luis' way against Yuma in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as San Luis made off with an 11-3 win. Does San Luis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Yuma turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
