Softball Recap: Cairo Syrupmakers vs. Monroe Golden Tornadoes
While Cairo put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Monroe. Everything went the Cairo Syrupmakers' way against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes as the Cairo Syrupmakers made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Syrupmakers, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Cairo has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Monroe, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cairo will take on Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Worth County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Monroe, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Dougherty at 5:30 p.m.
