McDonough came into Friday's match looking for another win against Calvert, but Brooke Kidwell wouldn't allow it. The Calvert Cavaliers put the hurt on the McDonough Rams with a sharp 47-24 win on Friday thanks in part to Kidwell, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game.

Another player making a difference was LJ May, who posted two points in addition to eight boards and five assists. What's more, she also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Calvert has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points over those games. As for McDonough, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Calvert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-29 victory against Lackey on the 18th. As for McDonough, they are taking a road trip to face off against Friendly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
