Madison has no trouble against Valley View

The Madison Mohawks's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They greeted the New Year with with a 53-36 win over Valley View. That 53-36 margin sets a new team best for Madison this season.

Among those leading the charge was Jaylin Pendleton, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Zane Sproat was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Valley View, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-4.
