Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Arcadia

Arcadia saw some tournament action on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Bellflower Buccaneers as the Arcadia Apaches made off with an 11-1 win. The game marked the Apaches' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Samantha Almaraz looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Jordan Cordeiro was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Patino, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Arcadia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Arcadia pushed their record up to 3-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bellflower, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
