Softball Recap: Tohatchi Takes a Loss

If Tohatchi was feeling good fresh off their 17-6 takedown of Navajo Pine last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Shiprock Chieftains by a score of 13-12 on Monday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Chieftains recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Tohatchi's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Shiprock, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Tohatchi will head out on the road to challenge Mesilla Valley Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shiprock has already played their next matchup (against Kirtland Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
