Preview: Riverside Christian Wranglers vs. First Christian Lions
The Riverside Christian Wranglers will head out on the road to face off against the First Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Saturday, Riverside Christian came up short against the Lions and fell 31-22. Riverside Christian has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, First Christian struggled with assists on Monday (the Wolves had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. First Christian suffered a rough 47-25 loss at the hands of the Wolves. First Christian was down 40-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the loss, First Christian saw an underclassman step up: Reagan Davis scored 11 points along with two steals. That was a full 44% of First Christian's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for First Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
