Baseball Game Preview: North Branford Thunderbirds vs. Valley Regional Warriors

The North Branford Thunderbirds will head out to face off against the Valley Regional Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Branford will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

If North Branford beats Valley Regional with five runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Thunderbirds walked away with a 5-1 win over Morgan on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in April. They came out on top against Hale Ray by a score of 5-2 two weeks ago.

North Branford's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Valley Regional, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
