Basketball Recap: Indianola Takes a Loss

Indianola lost against Ankeny back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indianola Indians were beaten by the Ankeny Hawks 65-33. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Hawks are ranked 33rd).

Indianola has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Ankeny, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Indianola has already played their next matchup (against Oskaloosa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ankeny will head out on the road to challenge Dowling Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dowling Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
