Baseball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley was the 11-1 winner over Purchase Line when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 8-5 to the Red Dragons on Wednesday.

Caden Vresilovic made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs. He has become a key player for River Valley: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Austin Baker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Purchase Line, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-9.

While River Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
