            South had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Hayden on Friday. The South Bison simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hayden Tigers 65-38. Given the Bison's advantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 40th in Wyoming, while the Tigers are ranked 306th in Colorado), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

South got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Dominic Callahan out in front who  went 6 for 8  on his way to 16  points and six  steals. Callahan is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: he's   grabbed at least two every time he's  taken the court this season.  Aiden Mitchell was another key player,  going 7 of 13  on his way to 16 points along with eight  rebounds and seven  steals.
 South  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  offensive board total in three consecutive  contests.
 Despite the  defeat, Hayden had strong showings from  Cameron Morrison, who  posted 11  points and six  rebounds, and  Jace Bene, who  had five points and nine  rebounds. That's the most  points  Morrison has posted since back in December of 2023.
The  win  got South back to even at 3-3. As for Hayden,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  an  80-63  loss against Stargate School on the 21st. As for Hayden, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  61-21  defeat against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 21st.
