Basketball Game Preview: Bryan County Redskins vs. Savannah Bluejackets

Bryan County hasn't had much luck against Savannah recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bryan County Redskins will head out on the road to take on the Savannah Bluejackets at 8:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bryan County will bounce into Friday's game after beating Portal, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Bryan County took down Portal 59-42 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Savannah had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 57 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 66-59 victory over the Bulldogs.

Bryan County is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Savannah, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

Bryan County ended up a good deal behind Savannah when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 61-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Savannah's Zy Smart, who posted 28 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
