Volleyball Recap: Dawson Wins High-Profile Match Against Tompkins

Dawson faced Tompkins in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 2-0. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dawson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Thedford, who had 12 digs and four assists. Thedford has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Ranney, who had 15 assists and two aces.

Dawson's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Tompkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.

Dawson has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against O'Connor on the 30th. As for Tompkins, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Forney on the 30th.
