Volleyball Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington was the 3-1 winner over Sky View when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Phoenix fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Phoenix didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 25-13 in the first set.

Farmington actually scored more points across those three sets (56-53), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Farmington's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Sky View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmington will take on Weber at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sky View, they will face off against Ridgeline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Riverhawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
