Basketball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Takes a Loss

Triangle Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 44-35 to the Woods Charter Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-35 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Triangle Math & Science lost, don't look at Ahmed Omer. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds Omer has posted since back in November of 2024. Rehaan Subzwari was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Woods Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Laupert out in front who put up eight points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Bhuvanesh Senthil, who had ten points.

Triangle Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Woods Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Clover Garden School the next time they take the court. Triangle Math & Science will host Clover Garden School at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Woods Charter will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
