Basketball Game Preview: Appomattox County Raiders vs. Nelson County Governors

Appomattox County and Nelson County are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Appomattox County Raiders will welcome the Nelson County Governors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Appomattox County has six straight victories, Nelson County has 34 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Appomattox County strolled past Altavista with points to spare, taking the game 49-31.

Meanwhile, Nelson County ended up a good deal behind William Campbell on Friday and lost 32-18.

Appomattox County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Nelson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
