Robert Hughes Jr. and Ahmad Boyd secure win for Providence-St. Mel

Recap: Providence-St. Mel Knights vs. Holy Trinity Tigers
The Providence-St. Mel Knights's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Trinity and snuck past 55-52. The victory was just what Providence-St. Mel needed coming off of a 75-28 defeat in their prior game.
Leading Providence-St. Mel to victory were Robert Hughes Jr. and Ahmad Boyd. Hughes Jr. scored 15 points, while Boyd scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Boyd has scored at least 25% of Providence-St. Mel's points. Brandon Williams-Orr was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Providence-St. Mel's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Holy Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Providence-St. Mel won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Julian at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th. Holy Trinity will be home for the holidays to greet Rochelle Zell Jewish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
