Basketball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

Marlboro County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dillon Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marlboro County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Dillon, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlboro County will venture away from home to face off against Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marlboro County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dillon, they will head out to square off against Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Waccamaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
