Baseball Recap: Southern Door Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Southern Door put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Marinette Marines by a score of 9-6. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly three runs.

The team relied heavily on Braylon Berg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerek Valley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Southern Door's record is now 3-0. As for Marinette, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Coming up, Southern Door will be playing at home against Luxemburg-Casco at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marinette, they will face off against Oconto Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
