Basketball Recap: Camden County Comes Up Short

Camden County lost against Colquitt County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Camden County Wildcats took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colquitt County Packers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Packers are ranked 97th).

Despite the loss, Camden County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Micah Reed went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. Caleb Reed was another key player, putting up five points and five assists.

Camden County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Colquitt County, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Camden County has already played their next game, a 49-29 defeat against Tift County on the 7th. Colquitt County has also already played their next matchup (against Cairo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
