Volleyball Recap: George Washington Comes Up Short on the Road Against Shady Spring

George Washington kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shady Spring Tigers. The Patriots have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18.

Zo? Pray paced George Washington's offense, picking up seven kills. Pray got some help from Ali Arbogast and her six assists. Finally, Pray was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Leading Shady Spring to victory were Kenidi Creager and Bella Gevenosky. Creager had eight digs and one assist, while Gevenosky had.

Shady Spring now has a winning record of 2-1.

George Washington has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against South Charleston on the 23rd. As for Shady Spring, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Spring Valley on the 23rd.
