Basketball Recap: West Gate Christian Academy Takes a Loss

West Gate Christian Academy lost against Palm Grove Christian two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The West Gate Christian Academy Patriots were dealt an 84-31 loss at the hands of the Palm Grove Christian Gators. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-17.

Carter Baker was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards for Palm Grove Christian. With that strong performance, Baker is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Pitts, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals.

West Gate Christian Academy is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Palm Grove Christian, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

West Gate Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palm Grove Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palm Grove Christian is facing Central Baptist Christian at the right time seeing as Central Baptist Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
