Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sparrows Point walked away with it. They came out on top against the Southwestern Sabers by a score of 70-59 on Friday. The Pointers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

With the win, Sparrows Point broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-17. As for Southwestern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Looking ahead, Sparrows Point will take on Dunbar on Tuesday. Dunbar will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Sparrows Point surely won't give up without a fight. Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
