Basketball Game Preview: Carlisle Indians vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles

The Carlisle Indians will take on the Bellbrook Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Carlisle has five straight wins, Bellbrook has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Carlisle is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Twin Valley South: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Carlisle blew Twin Valley South out of the water with a 69-40 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-12.

Meanwhile, Bellbrook was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 60-59 to Monroe.

Carlisle is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Bellbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Carlisle was able to grind out a solid victory over Bellbrook when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 53-42. Does Carlisle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bellbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
