Preview: Herndon Hornets vs. McLean Highlanders
Herndon is 2-8 against McLean since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Herndon Hornets on the road again and play against the McLean Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Herndon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 328th, while McLean is ranked 113th).
Last Monday, Herndon came up short against Meridian and fell 54-43.
Meanwhile, McLean was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 52-46 to Washington-Liberty. McLean has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Herndon's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for McLean, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Herndon opened the new year with a less-than-successful 42-32 loss to McLean. Can Herndon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
