Baseball Recap: Boyle County Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Boyle County posted their closest victory since May 6th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Garrard County Golden Lions 3-2. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Golden Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Caeden Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Boyle County's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Perry, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Boyle County pushed their record up to 24-8 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Garrard County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.

As of now, neither Boyle County nor the Golden Lions have any future games scheduled.
