Softball Recap: Bottineau's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Bottineau dropped their record down to 13-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's 14-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Beulah Miners by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Braves/Stars have suffered since March 29th.

Bottineau saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia LaFromboise, who went 2-for-4 with one triple. LaFromboise has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last four times she's played.

As for Beulah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games.

On Beulah's side, Addie Dale-Geiger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

As of now, neither Bottineau nor the Miners have any future games scheduled.
