Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eastern Hancock on Saturday, Heritage Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Lapel Bulldogs on Monday, falling 12-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Carson Wilhite made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Lapel, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian will face off against Triton Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lapel, they will challenge Madison-Grant at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
