Baseball Recap: Chipley Takes a Loss

Chipley and Holmes County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Chipley had to settle for second. They fell 8-3 to the Blue Devils. The Tigers have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Chipley's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Holmes County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

While Chipley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
