Football Game Recap: Sammamish vs. Cleveland

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cleveland ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They put the hurt on Sammamish with a sharp 34-13 win.the rankings were on Cleveland's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result

Cleveland's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 34 first-half points. Sammamish countered with 13 points, leaving the score at 34-13 going into the half. The Cleveland defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the contest. Finally capturing their first victory of the season, Cleveland advanced to 1-3. Sammamish are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.

Next week Cleveland take on Ballard at 7:00 PM. Ballard took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Cleveland's good fortune. As for Sammamish, they will face off against Chief Sealth. Chief Sealth enter the match touting a four-game streak of increasing point totals.
